1. Verify there are not any syntax errors in the HAProxy config file with this command
    • haproxy -c -V -f /etc/haproxy/haproxy.cfg
  2. Verify HAProxy is not trying to use any ports that are already in use
    • grep “:” /etc/haproxy/haproxy.cfg
    • netstat -tunlp
  3. Refer to the HAProxy logs as to why it is failing to start
