1. List the existing partitions
    • fdisk -l
  1. Edit the drive in fdisk
    • fdisk /dev/[Insert Disk]
  1. Create a new partition by pressing ‘n’ and following the instructions
    • n
  1. Verify changes and save
      • p
    • w
  1. Force a file system check on next boot
    • touch /forcefsck
  1. Reboot
    • reboot now
  1. Remove the forcefsck
    • rm /forcefsck
    1. Verify the partition size
      • df -h
    1. Run 1 last file system check
      • fsck -l /dev/[Insert Disk][Insert Partition]
  1. You can now mount the partition to a directory by editing /etc/fstab
