*** This error generally indicates that it cannot find the proper path to take to get to the destination server

  1. Verify that you are able to connect to other servers using IPs and DNS
    • ping 8.8.8.8
    • ping linuxresolved.com
  2. If you are able to ping the IP way, but not the DNS way then go to use this link to go to “Cannot Ping Using DNS

Delete a route

  1. Show the routes
    • ip route show
  2. Delete the route by either the starting IP or subnet
    • ip route del 192.168.33.11
    • ip route del 192.168.33.11/24
  3. Everything done up to this point is temporary. You will need to remove the “/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/route-*” file that is creating the routing rule
    • rm /etc/sysconfig/network/scripts/route-eth0
